We recently got married at the Waterfoot hotel, Derry. When people tell you that it’s the best day off your life .. It literally is and it was made 100 times better by the staff from the hotel who made sure everything ran smooth and that you had everything you wanted. We felt like royalty they where that good!! As for the room where the reception was held it looked amazing, the staff worked really hard to make it look so beautiful and where even willing to help out with last minute changes with unexpected guests or If something wasn’t to our liking. We would like to thank the staff so much for such an amazing day and would highly recommend the Waterfoot hotel for anyone’s big day!I've just finished a fantastic meal in the restaurant, and I'm now enjoying a pint beside the coal fire in the snug! I booked purely on location, as I'm working in Derry
this week.

I had the Italian Escalope of Pork, and had a salad with it. The pork was delicious, and the salad was beautifully dressed. I was particularly impressed with the coleslaw and potato salad. The meal, and a large glass of Pinot Grigio came to £16.95. Worth every penny! The room itself is smart and spacious, warm and cozy. The only let down is the bathroom which, while clean, is a little old fashioned.
The staff are professional and friendly. Good job! I'd stay again!
Reviewed 16th January 2012 - Brilliant weekend! Went down to this hotel last weekend and any problems or queries we had were sorted out straight away by Niamh on reception who was very accommodating towards us. Patsy in the bar was brilliant at making the cocktails! Rory was a brilliant host who even on his night off took time to talk to us. Matthew was really friendly and talked away to us and dealt with any problems we had. Defo go.
Amazing Wedding At The Waterfoot Hotel! Reviewed 13th January 2012
We recently got married at the Waterfoot. When you pull up to the hotel a gem awaits you inside. We had a civil ceremony & the room was done up by Bernadette @ Canterbury Tails, it was breath taking. Kevin, Liam & Rory and all the staff made us feel like we were the most important people in the world. The function room was fabulous, the food & service was amazing all the guests raved about the function room & the food. Our honeymooon suite was fabulous & breakfast in bed the next mornin, what more could a couple ask for. I can never thank the guys at the hotel enough for everything they done, right from day one, nothing was too much bother for the hotel, I even had my Hen party here under the girls night in package, would highly recommend it, and Patsy was so good to us that night as well.

Stayed at the Waterfoot with a couple of frends as we were doing the Derry tour as part of our 'round Historical N/Ireland We stayed for two nights at the Hotel although the rooms are basic, they were clean and could accommodate your needs.However when you enter the winebar/restuarantyou get a huge surprise, it is so modern and the food was superb. The staff were very attendant and polite (very well trained). We had a bottle of Shiraz with our meal and the way the wine was presented and opened by the bar tender Patsy was the first time I'd ever seen the 'cork affixed to the bottle he was different class a real professional. On Checking out the receptionist Ashling bid us a very cheerful farewell and wished us a nice day at the Causeway. This hotel was 'TOPS' for us and I will return very soon 5th Sept 2011

Staff very friendly they even started breakfast early on sunday morning to accommodate our earlier departure to a dancing competition.

The location,staff comfort and facilities of the Waterfoot where just what I needed to recover from an operation.The room was large and well equipped for our needs and as I have family in Londonderry/Derry I will return to the hotel when I can.

I thought the whole stay was absolutely fabulous the staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you, Especially Ashley on Reception. The food was excellent throughout our whole stay, Could not fault the hotel at all!! We were there for a wedding but were so please with staying there, the hotel is stunning and a lovely place for any occasion.

A very friendly Hotel. Customer Service was excellent, A very spacious room which I considered a very important part of my stay there. The service in the restaurant was good ,this area is also spacious so I felt very relaxed.

Couldn't fault it!
Beautifully designed room with a spotless big bathroom. Breakfast was both continental and cooked and was lovely. Would recommend the Waterfoot to anyone!
